Soya sauce Chicken with Ginger n onion.
When I was younger, this is what I look forwards during cny. I can easily Polished off the whole bottle of it within few days.
And it’s not cheap.
When I grew older, I know it’s easy to make but am lazy.
Now that am a mother, I chose to make this for my kid.
No recipe, everything’s just on my rough estimation.
What I did is
Melt the butter with the honey.
Mix in the Cornflakes ,sprinkle with sprinkles n bake at 160degee for 5min.
Pls take note of ur own oven temp.. if ur oven temp tend to be higher.. do take note of the baking time Unless u dun mind having burnt taste Cornflakes.
This is the first time n I Hope it’s not the Last.. that I am Trying my luck to make my own nian gao.
Am not a fan of it but I do enjoy it once a year.
However most of those sold out are rather sweet for my taste.
Seeing in the forum, they kept mentioning about this 1hr can be done nian gao really made me wanna give it a try.
However I took 2 hours to do it as the kids were fussing And I din dare to use high flame while not keeping an eye on the water level.

The colour get darker as it cool down.
I marinated with oyster sauce,rice wine, dark soya sauce, char siew sauce den cook it with my happycall pan.
No oil needed.
Den sprinkle with some sesame seeds.
Tender & juicy
It’s so finger licking good.
I marinated with oyster sauce, light soya sauce, Ginger juice, pepper for a few hours.
Baked it at 180degee for 30min.
Then 200degee for 15min.
Timing Depends on the size of your Chicken thighs.
Rice Cooked using premix.
