Simple snack for the kiddos to munch on. Butter flavour croutons homemade. Crunchy and fragrance…
All you need to do is
Spread butter( salted or unsalted butter, ur choice) on bread , trim it to any shapes you like and toast it till golden brown… every 4-5min give it a stir so that it be evenly toasted.
I baked it at 170degee on my oven.
** pls take note on ur own oven setting.
The result of itchy fingers… using bluepea flower for colouring.. Bcoz I dun wan a white huat Kueh, I don’t want use food coloring….
MAYBE maybe I wasn’t generous enough to extract a darker colour… tats explain this weird looking colour in my huat kueh.
Nevertheless it’s still soft and fluffy… the spoiler is the colour of it.
Make 7-8 standard size
250g self raising flour
1tsp baking powder (if your self raising flour been open for some times)
2 tablespoon corn oil
a pinch of salt
125g caster sugar
200ml coconut milk
50ml bluepea water (soak bluepea flowers to extract the colouring)
Mixed all together n steam for 20- 25min under High flame.
